Cinderella - The Exhibition

On Friday I went to the Cinderella exhibition in Leceister Square with my sister.

It's dedicated to all the costumes and props that were used in the film. There were about 6 different rooms and each one had a different theme.

Each room had a spokesperson who was there to tell us about each item and answer any questions we had about them. They even gave us insider information like the dress Cinderella wears to the ball consists of materials ranging from Brixton, London to India! There were also placards for each item so you could read more information on it.

We were encoraged to take pictures and share them online. I have a selection to show you guys so if you cant make it then don't worry! The exhibition runs till the 10th April and entrance is free :) It is located in the heart of Leceister Square (where the square gardens is) so you won't miss it!

I didn't really know what to expect before going in but it was amazing and I definitely recommend going to see it if you live in London. There is also a gift shop at the end to buy some souvenirs. You can also pick up a programme for a suggested donation of £5!

I'm looking forward to watching the film now! :)

'Home' Film Review!

So yesterday I went to watch 'Home' with a friend I haven't seen in ages!

'Home' is an animated film from DreamWorks Animation and features the voiceovers from Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin! It is directed by Tim Johnson. It is based on an alien-chameleon race called the 'Boovs' who migrate to planet Earth to escape their mortal enemies. They relocate all humans to one small part on Earth. One particular Boov called 'Oh' (voiced by Jim Parsons, Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory!) befriends a girl called 'Tip' (voiced by Rihanna) who escaped captivityand relocation from the Boovs. They are on a mission to find Tip's mum but come across all kinds of difficulties and struggles.

I really enjoyed this film and there were some funny lines that made you laugh.

There were also some emotional parts to this film, that will make your eyes water! I think this film is based on friendship, love, trust and determination and it is a really heartwarming film that makes you really think about what the word 'home' is about.

I would definitely recommend this film to everyone who feels like they don't belong anywhere or would just like a little pick me up on a dreary afternoon!

I would give this film a 8/10.

'Home' is in all UK cinemas now and you can watch the official trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du4jTG7-93k

Anyone seen it already or planning to? :)

Against The Current - Gravity EP Review

If you know me, you'll know that I'm currently in love with the band 'Against The Current'.
They are a 3 piece band from Poughkeepsie, New York. They consist of Chrissy Constanza on vocals, Daniel Gow on guitar and Will Ferri on drums.
They recently released an EP called Gravity, which consists of 6 songs.

The first is called 'Gravity'. The first 15 seconds reminds me of 'Something's Gotta Give by All Time Low' as it has the same guitar chords/notes/riffs. It starts off quite slow and mellow but then builds up to a strong vocal performance by Chrissy. It has a strong guitar and drum presence throughout and some more subtle melodies in between. A great opening song and one of my faves from them. They've also just released the music video for it and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S34KpOAgyTg

The next is 'Talk'. I think this song is the most mature/grown up sounding song from the band. With catchy lyrics and a real headbanger, this song just makes you wanna dance! This song really shows you what Against The Current is really about.

The third song is 'Dreaming Alone'. One of the slower songs yet still as powerful. It features Taka from ONE OK ROCK, whose voice reminds me of Owl City. Lovely lyrics and the combination of a female and male vocal in this song really does it for me.

The fourth song is 'Paralyzed'. A song you can shout from the top of your lungs. Memorable lyrics and catchy tones.

The penultimate song 'Fireproof', is one for the drummers. A strong beat throughout which makes this tune a great track and one you can really rock out to!

The last song is 'Brighter', which is probably the softest sounding song on the EP. This is a song I would fall asleep to; reminding me of all the good things in life. Perhaps because of the lyrics... "And burn a little bit brighter now, there's something beautiful hiding in the shadows. So set the world on fire, let's burn a little bit brighter now". A really beautiful song and a perfect ending to a perfect EP.

I really love this EP and I can't wait to hear what else the band have in the pipeline!

You can buy the EP from their worldwide store here: http://against-the-current.myshopify.com/ or from iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/gravity-ep/id963934553

#BloggersLoveLFW event

Last week I went to a Blogger's Love Hub gifting lounge event.
It was held at the Hoxton Arches in London.
Upon arrival, we had our names ticked off the guestlist and were instantly plummeted into a mass of people in a tiny room.
There were around 10/11 brands and lots of people.

One of the brands there was called 'Souksy', they create bold, electric, statement pieces of jewellery. It is a highly unique brand that prides itself on the design and material of its products.
You can buy their items from their website here: http://www.souksy.com

Another company called 'Luxsit' were showcasing their range of organic skincare. Luxsit base their products using the finest organic and natural raw materials. These include Nordic plant extract and pure Swedish water to give your skin that extra moisture and vitamin boost. You can view all of their products on their website here: http://www.luxsitorganic.com/

The final brand that really grabbed my eye is 'Pure Gold Collagen'. They have designed a collagen based drink used to make your hair, skin and nails feeling and looking stronger. It is full of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B6, C, E and Biotin. You can buy it at Boots, Holland and Barrett and other good pharmacies/nutritionist stores.

Anybody else been to a gifting lounge recently? :) xo
